Maahad tahfiz for Melayu-Cham

International Tahfiz Maahad Malaysia-Cambodia is expected to accommodate up to more than 1,000 Malay students in the country of Champa will be built at Phum Soy, Kampong Cham, next year.

Chairman of the Economic and Development Bureau of the UMNO Youth (BePU), Datuk Sohaimi Shahadan, said the Cambodian Muslim Maahad Tahfiz operated Intellectual Alliance (CMIA) that will serve as a center of learning the Quran Malay Muslim students as early as the 10-year-old Champa.
"Maahad tahfiz will be built on 0.8 hectares of land area purchased for U.S. $ 6,000 (about RM18, 800) and so far, four teachers tahfiz Cambodian nationals studying in Malaysia had been offered to an instructor.
"BePU will launch the collection fund and aims to RM300, 000 accepted to cover the construction costs Maahad Tahfiz allowing Malaysians to help the Malay community Champa same here," he said in a news conference at CMIA International School, here today.

In addition also involves learning the Malay language, was later Maahad Tahfiz students the chance to continue his studies at Darul Quran, the center of higher learning under the Quran JAKIM and Al-Quran Institute Terengganu.

He was in the country to deliver the 10.000 copies of the Quran and Muqaddam Malaysia's gift, through its endowment Quran to Malay Muslim Cham in three settlements which Keing Thnal Village, Village Phumbong Phum Kampong Ro and Soy.
In the same development, which is also the Chairman of Sohaimi Merchants Association and the Malaysian Malay Entrepreneurs (PERDASAMA YOUNG) reported that, he would work with CMIA to create 10 mini apam franchise back in Phnom Penh, by the end of this year.
